A big thank you to everyone for your well wishes prior to this announcement and your congratulations following and thanks also to HIA for putting together such a fantastic event to recognise the efforts of our industry. We are so extremely proud of our team and all who were involved in bringing this home to life.
We had an incredible 6 months creating this masterpiece for our clients Steve & Louise. Not only was it a fulfilling experience for us and our extended team to see such a project come to fruition, but to experience a families dream come true was truly rewarding. We feel extremely fortunate that we were given the opportunity to recreated their humble space into their forever home. This renovation was extensive with approximately 95% of the existing home removed leaving just the ground level floor and a small portion of timber framework.
The main external feature of this project is the Matte Monument 'Enseam' roofing profile by Lysaght. It can instantly be seen when turning into the street which really allows it to stand out. As this home belongs to the owners of one of Sydney’s largest roofing Company’s, the roof was always destined to be the star of the show.
The other key external features of this home include the solid steel plate awning that runs the full width of the front facade of the property, the recycled brick that is showcased throughout and to top it off the ‘Shou Sugi Ban Coulee’ cladding that we used to create the custom security door to the entry of the home. Together these key features came together to create a beautiful contrast of colour, elements and texture.
Moving inside, the polished concrete floors with exposed 'Cowra White' stone, the entire well planned and executed joinery package together with the high ceilings, exposed feature beams and of course the multiple solar operable skylights from 'Velux', all came together to create not only a sense of grandness and sophistication but a great deal of depth and a perfect, timeless look and feel.
At the rear of the property, you will find a stunning open gable end to the 1st floor of the home (complete with hanging 'lovers' chair) with a suspended concrete slab, allowing for an off form finish concrete ceiling to the entertaining area below.
The home was beautifully styled by Louise with the help of our in-house Interior Designer Georgia. The modern coastal theme they chose to carry throughout the home complimented not only the Clarke family’s lifestyle, it also worked well with the structural elements and finishes of the home.
An incredible home for a deserving family and we are honoured to have been a part of this project.
